About Access 21
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Access Corporation (CMPAC) is a
private, non-profit corporation that was incorporated
in May of 2000 for the purpose of operating the public access
channel (Access 21) on the Time Warner cable system
serving Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte.
Our mission is to provide facilities and education that welcome and
accommodate individuals to crate and submit programming that
expresses diverse opinions, talents, activities and interests in the
Charlotte metropolitan area through non-commercial open access
television.
Our goal is to make Access 21 one of the leading public access
channels in the country. We are "The People's Voice" In the
community and that voice will be one of which all Mecklenburg County
residents can be proud.
Access 21 currently features two studios, control rooms, master
control, edit suite and two Final Cut Pro suites.
The Executive Director manages the day-to-day operation.
