About Access 21
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Access Corporation (CMPAC) is a private, non-profit corporation that was incorporated in May of 2000 for the purpose of operating the public access channel (Access 21) on the Spectrum cable system serving the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.
Our mission is to provide facilities and education that welcome and accommodate individuals to create and submit programming that expresses diverse opinions, talents, activities and interests in the Charlotte metropolitan area through non-commercial open access television.
Our goal is to make Access 21 one of the leading public access channels in the country. We are "The People's Voice" In the community and that voice will be one of which all Mecklenburg County residents can be proud.
The production facilities consist of everything to produce a quality television program or podcast, including two HD television studios, four Digital Editing suites, and our new podcasting studio.
